Designed to complement our matching Lent Chalice Veil – Cross & Crown of Thorns, this burse completes a reverent and visually cohesive Eucharistic set for Lent, Passiontide, and Holy Week.
Crafted in rich violet Glastonbury or Luther Rose brocade, the burse is framed with a Roman Purple orphrey band, giving liturgical contrast appropriate to the solemnity of the season. The design evokes the unity of Christ’s sacrificial love—the Cross of Salvation held within the Crown of Thorns, which was placed upon His head in mockery yet became a symbol of His glory.
