York Liturgical Brocade Fabric
for Church Vestments and Formal Wear
Sold by the Yard
York Brocade is a small, yet elegantly designed liturgical church vestment fabric dating from the nineteenth century. It depicts a delicate scrolling Vine, which was an early symbol of the Eucharist. At 1 1/4" (3 cm), York Brocade has one of the smallest pattern repeats in this collection of Ecclesiastical Fabrics. Use the brocade fabric alone or as the base fabric, combined with solid colored accents or bolder fabrics with larger scale designs. York would also work well as the orphrey or trim on either solid colored fabrics or on bolder designs. Let your imagination loose to see what options might exist for your next church vestment project.*
