Ludlow Brocatelle Fabric

Ludlow Brocatelle is a stunning church fabric for vestment making! It is difficult to appreciate the full beauty of the fabric until seen in person with the sunshine. Once the light hits the metallic fibers and it starts to shimmer and glow, one cannot help but to fall in love with its beauty. Ludlow features a Gothic design with a central pineapple motif surrounded by an ogee. The fabric was designed by F. J. Flanagan. Ludlow would make a stunning cope or chasuble, as well as altar hangings for larger projects. It cuts nicely for use in accent pieces such as orphrey bands or trims.

Colors: Ivory/Gold, Red/Gold

Width: 48" (122 cm)
Pattern Repeat: 18" (45 cm)
Fiber Content: 74% Cotton, 14% Viscose, 12 % Metallic Yarn

Use to create:

  • Chasubles

Dupioni silk

What I love about ecclesiastical sewing is the quality of their fabrics and the selection of liturgical fabrics that can be hard to find otherwise. I also Like the fact that if there is a question about anything I can email and communicate with a real person not a tangle of phone prompts and artificial voice systems. That’s so refreshing.
