Red Pentecost Pulpit Fall – Burning Bush with Seven Flames
Design Style 1506
This Red Pentecost pulpit fall features a burning bush crowned with seven tongues of flame, uniting Old Testament revelation and New Testament fulfillment. The design proclaims the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, revealed first in divine fire and fulfilled at Pentecost.
This pulpit fall was designed for Pentecost and Holy Spirit feast days, where the Church proclaims the continuity of God’s work from Old Covenant to New.
At the center is the burning bush, aflame yet not consumed, recalling God’s self-revelation to Moses. Rising from the bush are seven tongues of flame, visually connecting the fire of Sinai to the fire of Pentecost. What was once revealed in mystery is now poured out in fullness upon the Church.
The seven flames represent the seven Gifts of the Holy Spirit, as named by the prophet Isaiah and received by the Church through the outpouring of the Spirit. The image declares that the God who spoke from the fire now dwells within His people, illuminating, sanctifying, and sending them forth.
Set against a red Pentecost ground, the design draws together calling, commissioning, and consecration. The pulpit becomes the place where the same living God continues to speak through Word and Spirit.
Each pulpit fall is made to order by Ecclesiastical Sewing, using historically grounded Christian symbolism and materials selected for reverent, long-term liturgical use.
Part of The Spirit of Glory Collection, uniting the fire of God’s revelation with the fullness of the Holy Spirit poured out upon the Church.
