Choir, Graduation, or Confirmation Style Stole Sewing Pattern
This short stole has a pointed V-Back neckline. The finished length in the front is short, ending at around the waistline. The front ends have V-points. This stole style is frequently used as a Choir Stole to be worn over a cassock or other choir gowns. This style is also used as a Confirmation or Graduation stole.
The instructions and construction style make this stole a nice project for beginner and professional alike.
Suggested fabrics: Carlisle or Portsmouth Polyester Fabrics, Silk dupioni, brocades, silk damasks, metallic brocades, tapestry fabrics, or fabrics of your choice.*
Interfacing fabrics: 100% cotton canvas
Lining Fabric: Satin, or Silk Dupioni
Fabrics and trims:
- 1 1/3 yards face fabric 45", 54" or 60" Wide
- 1 1/3 yards interfacing 60" Cotton canvas
- 1 1/3 yards lining 45" or 60" fabric
- 1 small cross for neckline
- Optional trims:
- 2 - 3" to 4" crosses for stole ends
- Embroidery designs or appliques
Finished size: 7" Wide by 44" Long
