Short Spade End Stole Pattern for Priest or Deacon

A lovely Traditional Latin Mass Vestment Stole pattern with Spade end will be a welcome addition to many vestment makers.

Suggested fabrics: Silk dupioni, brocades, silk damasks, metallic brocades, tapestry fabrics, wool gaberdines.

Interfacing fabrics: 100% cotton canvas

Lining Fabric: Satin

Fabrics and trims:

  • 1 1/3 yards face fabric
  • 1 1/3 yards interfacing
  • 1 1/3 yards lining
  • 1 small cross for stole neckline and center of maniple
  • Optional trims:
  • Crosses for stole ends
  • 10 tassels or 1 yard of 2 inch wide fringe for lower edge
  • Embroidery designs or appliques
