Florence is one of those lovely and useful liturgical fabrics. It features a late Victorian Design, which produces a heavy weft effect. The ecclesiastical fabric, was designed by William Perkins. The main features of the design were inspired by an altarpiece by the 15th Century Florentine painter Jacopo Di Cione of Italian Lace Work.
Florence offers designers of liturgical vestments the option of not one, but three variations of white fabric, starting with a Bridal White, an Ivory, and a Deep Cream. Florence is also available in a true Rose for use on Laetare Sunday and Gaudette Sunday during the seasons of Advent and Lent. Florence has a medium-sized pattern repeat and cuts up easily for use in a variety of liturgical vestment pieces*
