Style 1009 Deacon Stole Pattern
Vestment & Stole Patterns for Sewing
The deacon stole pattern from our Stole Patterns collection has mitered seams at shoulder and waist. It uses two pattern pieces for top and bottom of the stole. There are also separate pattern pieces for the interfacing and lining.
The deacon stole attaches just below the waist with a small cord.
Pattern is 4 1/2" wide.
Suggested fabrics: Silk dupioni, brocades, silk damasks, metallic brocades, tapestry fabrics, wool gaberdines. Not suitable or designs for stretch fabrics or fabrics containing Lycra.
Interfacing fabrics: 100% cotton canvas
Lining Fabric: Satin
Fabrics and trims:
- 1 yard face fabric
- 1 yard interfacing
- 1 yard lining
- 1 small cross for shoulder
- Optional trims:
- 12 tassels or 1/2 yards of 2 inch wide fringe for lower edge
- Embroidery designs or appliques
- Contrast fabric 1/4 yard and 1 yard narrow trim
