Gilt Pearl Purl Goldwork Hand Embroidery Metal Thread
Gilt Pearl Purl can be used in Goldwork and hand embroidery sewing projects. The thread is a coil that looks like a row of tiny gold pearls strung together. The wire is gently stretched to pull the tiny pearls apart just a bit.
Use Pearl Purl as an accent outline or to add delicate detail. Consider pairing Pearl Purl with other goldwork threads such as Rough Purl, Smooth Purl, Bright Purl, Wire Check, Lizardine or Jaceron, and Faconnee for a truly unique look!
SIZES:
- Gilt Very Fine - approx. 0.6 mm in width is the smallest size
- Gilt #1 Pearl Purl - approx. 0.9 mm in width
- Gilt #2 Pearl Purl - approx. 1.1 mm in width
- Gilt #3 Pearl Purl - approx. 1.25 mm in width
- Gilt #4 Pearl Purl -
- Pearl Purl is sold by the yard in one-yard lengths.
Gilt threads have ½ % of gold in the plating covering copper.
We recommend using Au Ver a Soie 100/3 for couching. Colors 240 or 241 are a nice match. You may also wish to try a contrasting thread color.
