FREDERICK THE WISE Giclée Print: Iconic Reformation Figure

Frederick the Wise, also known as Frederick III, was a key figure during the Protestant Reformation in the early 16th century. As the Elector of Saxony from 1486 until his death in 1525, he played a pivotal role in protecting and supporting Martin Luther. Frederick's patronage provided a safe haven for Luther at Wittenberg Castle, enabling him to continue his theological work. He is remembered for his efforts in preserving Luther's writings, including the 95 Theses, and for his political influence in safeguarding the Reformation movement. Frederick the Wise's support greatly contributed to the spread and establishment of Protestantism in Germany and beyond.

This Giclée print of Frederick the Wise has been created by Edward Riojas.
