Birds are commonly depicted in Liturgical Tapestry Fabrics. You will find them woven into this lovely Aragon Liturgical Tapestry Fabric in subtle colors of white and blue. Aragon Tapestry is an ecclesiastical Indo-Portuguese design used for church fabrics since the 18th century. Other early Christian symbols depicted in the fabric include a colorful Jardiniere (an urn), flowers, and grapes. Aragon Tapestry is a multi-colored design on a cream background in Green or Red predominant and is available in two fabrications of Rayon (no metallic fibers) and Lurex (gold metallic threads). Suitable for a wide range of vestment projects, this pattern is appropriate for Roman style chasubles, for stoles, for orphreys, and for altar hangings to name a few. Use the entire fabric for the project or use Aragon as accents (such as a super frontal) when combined with other fabrics. The design cuts up well, creating unlimited design possibilities. Pastoral Stoles may be cut using either the Jardiniere or the vine as the main design theme. It pairs well with a wide variety of other liturgical fabrics such as the cream yarn-dyed fabrics as well as with many of the silk and wool fabrics.
