A floral design rooted in Christian art
Native to subtropical America, the passion flower became a symbol of Christ's suffering. It entered Christian art through Italy in the early seventeenth century. This brocade carries that tradition into a Victorian interpretation, joining devotional meaning with flowing flowers and foliage.
Yarn dyed color and woven detail
The yarns are dyed before weaving for even color and rich shades. A closely woven warp gives the ground a satin appearance, setting off the floral design. Choose a single color for a quieter effect, or Red/Gold or Green/Gold for contrasting woven detail.
