The Christmas Rose, or Messianic Rose, is a small white flower that blooms in midwinter, and these floral machine embroidery designs put it on vestments and linens for Christmas and the festival seasons. Tradition made it a gift to the Christ Child and a sign of the prophecy that the desert shall blossom as the rose. The designs show the rose alone, on a single stem, with double leaves, in a lattice cross and in a quatrefoil with the Chi Rho, and there is also a rosebud spray from a vintage design in the Ecclesiastical Sewing library.
Each design downloads in the common machine formats, most in several sizes, from a two inch motif for a stole or a purificator to a seven or nine inch rose for a chasuble, a frontal or a banner. They are digital files, not stitched pieces; the design opens on your machine and you choose the threads. More seasonal designs are in the Christmas designs and the machine embroidery collection.
