Return Policy

At Ecclesiastical Sewing, we understand how important it is to find high-quality liturgical fabrics and materials. Every order is handled with care to ensure you receive the best possible products for your sewing and church projects.

We strive to make your shopping experience “user-friendly” while maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and fairness. Please review our policy carefully before making a purchase.

General Return Policy

Returns must be requested and approved within 14 days of the original purchase date.
Only unopened, unused items in their original packaging are eligible for return.

Eligibility

You may request a return within 14 days of purchase if:

• The item is unopened, unused, and in original condition

• You can provide proof of purchase (receipt or order number)

Please do not send returns to the manufacturer or via COD shipping, as they will be refused.

Unauthorized or Late Returns

Returns that are sent without prior authorization or received after the 14-day return window are not eligible for refund, exchange, or store credit.

If such items are sent back without approval:

• They may be refused and returned to the sender at the customer’s expense, or

• At our discretion, may be accepted with a 25% restocking fee and issued as store credit only, provided the items are unopened and in resalable condition.

Shipping costs (both directions) will not be refunded or credited under any circumstance.

Non-Returnable Items

Due to the custom and limited nature of our products, the following items are not eligible for return or refund:

• Cut fabric yardage

• Cut trim yardage

• Fabric swatches or samples

• Custom or made-to-order vestments (stoles, chasubles, altar hangings, etc.)

• Special orders or custom quotes

• Goldwork threads

• Sewing patterns

• Digital downloads, e-books, or digitized embroidery designs

• Scissors

• Books

• Gift cards

• Print-on-demand items (artwork prints, home décor, and gifts — all sales final)

• Sale or clearance items

Damaged or Defective Items

We stand by the quality of our fabrics and materials.
If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us immediately upon receipt so we can resolve the issue quickly.

Restocking Fees

A 25% restocking fee applies to:

• Unauthorized returns

• Canceled or refused orders after processing

• Returned yardage or trims without prior approval

Refunds are issued as store credit when restocking fees apply.

Shipping Costs

Customers are responsible for all return shipping charges.
Shipping fees (both original and return) are non-refundable.

If your order was refused or unclaimed, the cost of both outbound and return shipping, plus a 25% restocking fee, will be deducted from your merchandise credit.

If returning an item valued over $75, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. Ecclesiastical Sewing is not responsible for lost or unreceived return shipments.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, you will receive an email notification confirming approval or denial.
Approved refunds are processed within several business days, minus any applicable fees.

Exchanges

We only replace items that are defective or damaged.
To request an exchange for the same item, contact customersupport@ecclesiasticalsewing.com

Gifts

If your item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a store credit for the value of your return.
If the gift giver purchased the item to give later, we will issue the refund directly to the gift giver.

Color Variation & Fabric Notes

Please note that fabric swatches and online photos are provided for general reference.
Dye lots, monitor settings, and lighting conditions can cause slight color variations. Many liturgical fabrics are woven in the United Kingdom, and color differences between bolts are normal and expected.
