The Ecclesiastical Sewing Trade Program is for professional makers, church workrooms, parishes, religious communities, and other qualified institutional buyers who regularly purchase fabrics and supplies for ecclesiastical work.

Approved accounts receive 20% trade pricing on eligible Ecclesiastical Sewing merchandise, applied automatically when you are signed in.

Who is it for?

Professional and institutional buyers of ecclesiastical textiles. In practice that means:

  • Professional vestment makers
  • Church sewing workrooms
  • Religious communities
  • Parishes buying materials in volume
  • Altar guilds buying for an institution
  • Costume and workroom professionals doing ecclesiastical work
  • Qualified resellers and professional makers
  • Other legitimate institutional and professional textile buyers

It is not every retail customer who asks. Personal and household sewing is served, gladly, by the ordinary store at its ordinary prices.

What do I get?

20% trade pricing on eligible Ecclesiastical Sewing merchandise. Once your account is approved, the trade price is applied to eligible items automatically whenever you are signed in: on the product page, in the cart and at checkout. There is no code to enter and nothing to ask for.

Eligible merchandise is listed further down this page, alongside what always stays at full retail.

Is there a minimum?

No arbitrary order minimum. Trade pricing applies to eligible merchandise on every order, whether it is a single cut of linen or a season's worth of brocade. There is no spend to reach to open the account and none to keep it.

How do first orders work?

First orders are prepaid. You order on the ordinary Ecclesiastical Sewing website, signed in to your approved account, and pay at checkout the same way any order is paid. Trade pricing is already on the eligible items in your cart.

Can I get payment terms?

Net 30 may be available to established approved accounts. It is not part of a new account and is never assumed. If your organization needs terms once you have been ordering with us for a while, write to us and we will talk it through.

Can retail customers apply?

The program is intended for verified professional and institutional buyers. Every application is read by a person, and we will ask for more information if we need it. If you sew for yourself or for your family, the ordinary store and its pricing stay exactly as they are for you, and we are glad to help you there.

How long does approval take?

Applications are reviewed individually. We'll email you after your account has been reviewed.

What carries trade pricing, and what does not.

The trade price follows the materials of the work. Finished pieces, custom work and the small things that cost more to cut and post than they sell for stay at their ordinary price.

Eligible merchandise, 20% trade pricing

  • Liturgical fabrics and linens
  • Trims and braids
  • Fringes and tassels
  • Embroidery and goldwork threads
  • Notions
  • Books

Full retail, always

  • Swatches
  • Sewing patterns
  • Finished and custom vestments
  • Custom work and services
  • Gift cards

Anything not on the eligible list is at its ordinary price. Signed in, the price you see on the product page is your price, and the cart will agree with it.

What the trade price looks like

Item Retail Trade
St. Aidan Brocade, by the yard $89.99 retail $71.99
Florence Brocade, by the yard $169.99 retail $135.99
Rayon St. Benet Braid, by the yard $11.00 retail $8.80
St. Aidan Brocade swatch not eligible, full retail $5.99

Retail prices as they stand in the current eligibility build. Every eligible item works the same way, on every order, at any quantity.

Trade access and sales tax are separate. Approval for trade pricing does not change how sales tax is charged. Sales tax exemption is decided under your state's rules, on its own paperwork, and it is handled separately from this application. If your organization holds a state exemption certificate, send it to us and we will deal with it on its own.

A short application, read by a person.

Tell us who you are, what your organization is, what you mainly buy from us, and anything that helps us verify your professional or institutional status. Supporting documents are welcome and optional: they are evidence, not a requirement, and different places call them different things.

What helps us verify you

Any of these is useful, and no single one is required: a business or resale certificate, sales tax or reseller documentation, a business website, a church or institutional affiliation, a professional sewing business, or an established purchasing history with Ecclesiastical Sewing.

After approval

We email you when your account has been reviewed. Once approved, sign in at ecclesiasticalsewing.com/account with the email on your application. We send a six digit code to that mailbox, you type it in, and the trade prices are already on the eligible items.

Apply for Trade Access

A few minutes. Nothing here is a credit application, and supporting documents are optional.

  • Read by a person, never approved automatically
  • Documents are optional evidence, not a requirement
  • Trade access and sales tax exemption are separate

The application form appears below. If you cannot attach a file, email your documentation to customersupport@ecclesiasticalsewing.com with your organization's name in the subject line.

Some of this is easier said out loud.

Call and a person picks up. If you are not sure whether your work or your organization qualifies, ask rather than guessing. It takes a minute and we would rather have the conversation than lose you to a form.

If you are weighing two brocades and cannot tell them apart on a screen, say so. We will get swatches out to you before you commit to a yard.
