Elegant in both scale and texture, Ravenna Ivory Brocade is a richly woven fabric created for pieces where the beauty of the textile deserves to be seen.

The design features a large-scale Pomegranate floral motif accented with soft chenille weaving, surrounded by graceful scrolling ornament on a lustrous satin-weave ground. Woven entirely in subtle ivory tones, the contrast comes from texture rather than color, allowing light to move across the surface and reveal the details of the pattern.

Ravenna has a beautiful drape and substantial hand. It is slightly heavier than many traditional vestment brocades, with a full chenille back that gives the fabric additional body and richness.

The generous scale of the design makes Ravenna especially well suited to copes and other large ceremonial pieces, where there is enough uninterrupted fabric to fully appreciate the sweeping floral and scrollwork pattern.

Because we do not classify Ravenna as a commercial-performance upholstery fabric, we recommend it for light or occasional-use applications rather than heavily used furniture.

With any large-scale brocade, additional yardage may be required when matching the pattern across seams or positioning a particular motif.

We recommend ordering a fabric swatch first when exact color, texture, weight, or compatibility with another fabric is important.
